There are a couple political things that I again find worth noting.
First is a video of Matt Damon saying that he finds it absurd that Palin is a VP candidate. Here, here Matt. I couldn’t agree more. I had to suppress a laugh when Damon said “it’s like a really bad Disney movie” in which a Hockey mom faces down Vladimir Putin.
Also, today on NPR, the president of National Organization for Women (NOW), Kim Gandy explained why Palin has caused NOW to throw it’s support to a Obama. I hope this news helps to encourage the women considering voting for the McCain/Palin ticket to make a switch.
Finally, I saw the Youtube replay of the Palin/Clinton SNL opening sketch and, while it was funny. Yet I don’t think it warranted the rave reviews it received.

I am floored that Palin can be scary when we have a unqualified, fraudulent, & RACIST candidate like Obama. PLEASE, PLEASE, don’t take my word for it. Get his Dreams of My Father book and read it! I cannot believe the things that people are willing to overlook when it comes to this candidate. Go to Youtube and search “Obama snake” and see a collage of just one of his fake & fraudulent moves. Yes, I know, people are dying to say everything is taken out of “context”…WAKE UP AMERICA! If you would switch the issues of concern and put McCain in there- McCain would have been finished. Let’s hold people to the same standard already!!

Unfortunately I think we have a society that gets more excited about SNL skits than a real live Presidential election.
And equally unfortunate, most people have preconceived notions of what is good or bad based on what they learned growing up that continues to perpetuate a racist and sexist society.
It’s an ugliness many would prefer to sweep under the rug, but we need a change where actions speak louder than words. So far the reality meter seems to be on Obama’s side of the aisle. If that scares people, good. We need a huge shake up cuz we’re doing it wrong people.
